Regulations      At the end of 1995, the Portuguese Health Psychology Society (Sociedade Portuguesa de Psicologia da Saúde or SPPS) was created joining psychologists and other professionals interested in the field of health psychology, arising from different professional organisations. During the past three years SPPS has been governed by its founding members and a provisional commission of three of those members. Elections for the executive board and other governing bodies, took place on January 27th 1999, 34.6% of the members participated in the elections and elected the following members:      General Assembly     President: João Justo; Vice president: Carvalho Teixeira; Member: Eduardo Sá; Lília Brito; Cecília Galvão de Azevedo.      Direction (Executive Board)     President: Isabel Leal; Treasurer: José Luis Pais Ribeiro; Secretary: Maria de Jesus Correia; Members: Maria do Rosário Dias; Teresa McIntyre.      Fiscal Board     President: Manuel Geada; Secretaries: Conceição Faria; Isabel Trindade.
